Our economy is headed toward disaster. The factors that go into the looming collapse of the dollar are widespread, from the sub-prime mortgage meltdown, to the continued borrowing of money from China, to the off-shoring of our manufacturing jobs, to the waves of illegal aliens. All of these factors and more lead us to contemplate the coming economic downturn with a feeling of unease. Yet there is hope. The solutions are not easy, but they are thankfully simple.

I promise that I will fight to lower taxes. As any family knows, the money coming into the family budget must be at least equal to the money going out. Congress has not produced a balanced budget and has chose not to cut spending. Instead our representatives have run up the national debt while simultaneously printing money. Inflation

The Federal Reserve, in concert with Congress, can create dollars without any tangible backing which causes inflation. As each new dollar is printed without any backing, all the other dollars are worth less. Rising prices (often misnamed inflation) merely reflect the fact that our dollars are worth less than they were a short while ago. People do understand this, and it is reflected in their skepticism of government. Read More

As a nation of laws, we cannot endorse or promote the breaking of those laws. I reject amnesty for illegal aliens. I also believe it is the Constitutional duty of the Federal government to secure its borders. The illegal immigration issue is not all that complicated to solve. Read More

There is compelling evidence that al-Qaeda’s training camps have and continue to be effective in equipping foot soldiers to fight Americans.  However, the most important part of deciding what to do about these terrorists is in determining why they attack us.  Contrary to the myth, they do not attack us for our freedoms. Initial Results

Thank you! I am not sure if words can express the gratitude we feel that you bet on us and said that this message is worth voting for. If the numbersDelavar Family 2008 hold true, we are one of the top two candidates in the general election for the 3rd Congressional District. I am grateful that so many supporters saw what we had to offer and agreed to help in all your different ways, from canvassing to simply voting. Each and every effort counts. Now the real work kicks in and we have the chance to take this message and make sure that the voters hear it loud and clear.

Take a moment to reflect upon how far this campaign has come because of your help. The message is powerful. It will be successful in November. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Post Primary Celebration Party Wed, Aug 20th

You are invited to attend a victory party at the Boppin' Bo's (7809 NE Vancouver Plz Dr # 110, Vancouver) at 6 to 8:30 PM. It doesn't matter if you worked on the campaign, or just want to revel in a celebration party: all are invited. We especially want to thank those who volunteered, donated, and put in effort to advance the campaign. The best part is yet to come. Imagine what we can do as we head into the general election!

Let's have fun, enjoy some excellent food, share our stories about the campaign trail, and take a much needed rest for a couple hours. We wouldn't be doing this if it weren't fun!
